power steering and heating not working

    Was out last night and came to car an turned car on to find power steering not working and the heating also not working.
    i had a look at the fuses there all fine and the relay is brand new so couldnt be that, but i know this is a common fault with them but dont know how to get around the problem does anybody have a guide on what your suppose todo please.

    Ok i found a thread that showed how to fix this problem but it has not fixed the problem i really could do with some help here i need my car tobe working any help at all would be appreciated thanks

    Get your alternator checked free at halfrauds mate.

    mines doing the same thing and im still scratching my arse with it cos its winding me up dont know what to do but if i can get it sorted i will post on here as soon as i know

    is the alternator a definate problem that it could be if not what other things could it be linked to please?

    It will give you the problems your experiencing but to know for sure get it tested mate.

    My ex had exactly the same issue with her ice sax, one minute steering would work the next it wouldnt, then either heaters would and steering wouldnt and vice versa, i ripped alternator out, bunged in one from a scrappy (about 10 squid i think i paid) and the issue vanished

    I was just about to update my thread i started yesterday... I did the ignition barrel bypass and found out couple hours ago that the fuse on it had blown... melted it but current was still getting through, lucky my car is still here to be honest.

    The garage fixed it for me properly this time not some RAC diy and all seems fine, BUT... he did say that the ignition barrel would need to be changed which is about 200£. Unless you use your own alarm and have a thob for it they wouldnt need to replace all the locks, just the ingnition barrel.

    Ok i have now found out it is not the alternator its not the fuses and its not the relays any more ideas for what this problem could be because of its bugging my brain
    anybody have any ideas please.

    Tried the bypass under the near the ignition barrel yet buddy?

    yeah i have mate that didn't seem to work neither im so confused to what it could be any other ideas what it could be any replys would be appreciated.
