I was doing a couple tests with a multimeter and wanted to check if a sensor was getting power from the ecu so I exposed part of the wire and attached the multimeter. Then when I went to start it the key code light was flashing and the car won't start. Is it possible I have sent the ecu a ground that has blown something? The multimeter was set to volts with one lead on the earth and the other to the exposed wire. If not dies anybody have any idea how I can overcome the immobiliser? Thanks guys
Have I blown my ecu?

#2sounds like you've locked it. take it to citroen cost me £50

#3Don't ecu's run on 5volts or there abouts? or the majority of sensors do?
If you've put 12v down it, it could've blown.
Just a thought, sure someone will correct me or enlighten me etc.

#4If you're certain you had it set to volts and wired to volts then I doubt you will have blown it - since it's a very high resistance circuit. If you had it setup in Current mode then yeah you've probably stuffed 12v into an ecu that didn't want it.
Most likely you've locked it, as said, but it does sound like an immobiliser issue after rereading that.
