Old style number plates.

   I am thinking of putting some ols style number plates on my car, i.e. the plates with the black background. Is there any law that makes this illegal on a 2001 reg car?

   You can only legally have them on your car if it is pre 1973

   Pre 1973 you can run them. Anything after, illegal.
