My passenger footwell is soaked under the carpet and the car always smells damp so i think i may either have a blocked sunroof drain or maybe my heater matrix is leaking. I also have a horrible burning smell after having the heater on for a long time/long drive. What could this be?

#2Leaky heater matrix. Get under there and use a torch to check it.

#3I have checked my sunroof drains and they are unblocked. I also had a look under the dash and the heater box all seems fine, no water to be seen. Where else could it be coming from?? Also why would it be smelling if its not the heater matrix..

#4Woke up to find my drivers side footwell in about an inch of water today, never noticed it before..
Seems to be coming from under the dash below where the fan is.. no idea where its coming from as didnt want to lay in the water and look as i was just on my way out with a white t-shirt on..
Any ideas? atleast until i get oppertunity to try and see for myself. -
#5my passenger footwell is soaked too. pulled carpet and underlay stuff up when was rainin went for a drive think its coming in from bottom of door seal. could try getin a jet washer on it when carpet pulled up see if ya notice a trickle of water anywhere

#6Heh done exactly that myself today, well.. it wasnt a jet wash but a power hose which is alot more effective believe me.Quote:my passenger footwell is soaked too. pulled carpet and underlay stuff up when was rainin went for a drive think its coming in from bottom of door seal. could try getin a jet washer on it when carpet pulled up see if ya notice a trickle of water anywhere
Had the hose running for about 15 minutes, couldnt see a drop of water coming in, yet this morning is was running out from below the dash..
Still, its a minor problem till i get round to sorting it, work has enough equipment to dry it all out etc and its not a "major" issue, might just be mydrive way and how much she has to sit leaning to the right.
