Seized Tracking And A Wonkey Wheel

  1. #1
    Hey guys and girls

Took the car to be tracked yesterday, the bloke said its seized up and needs it back next week to do the work on it, is this likely to cost me big bucks?

Secondly,he said my drivers side back wheel is tilted slightly so the top of the wheel is further out instead of being straight its kinda like that --> / but not at such an angle i would say 10 maybe 15 degrees out, any ideas on the fix?

    much appreciated

tracking should only be a track rod end or 2 at 15 quid each max.

as for your back wheel sounds like your axel is f**kd you have 2 options risk getting a second hand axel and take the risk of it doing the same again or you can get a re-con axel from IM AXEL'S on here will be like new and should last the life time of the car.

Cheers for the info, i was thinking the axel, damn, how much for an axel then? and what would fitting costs be like? btw ive got a 1.1 forte 2000

axle shouldnt be too much, i paid 180 for mine, not from im axles, and have been informed i overpaid but needs must. as for the tracking, whatever you do, aoid letting the garage heat the track rod end as this can be an mot failure as it weakens the rod!
    Hope this helps,

With your track rod end they rust up,so the garage will probably wire brush it wd40 on it then heat it up with a blow torch mate.
