Serious wishbone troubles!

Ok replacing the drivers side wishbone, and its being a serious pain in the ass. The bush that goes into the chasiss leg just will NOT line up correctly with the holes for the bolt to go through. We have tried:

jacking the bush up, but it just ends up jacking up the whole car,
making a bolt with a chamfered end and hammering it through to try make the holes in line,
pulling it up with a thick screwdriver.

Any one got any good tips/ideas for trying to line this damn hole up??

    Thanks

Check you have the right wishbone , When i did mine, i put the 2 bolts through the footwell first, then with a mallet, tapped the bush in line, then put the bolt in and jiggled it about till it went through, can't really see why it wouldn't go through easy

Fairly sure its the correct one. Placed it on top of the old one and they both looked the same
Yeah its in through the footwell, got the bush in so far, but now the holes just wont line up. Tried hitting the bush up while jiggling the bolt about but no joy with it.
