   I have a furio 16v with a mk1 vtr gearbox on at the moment but its sluggish until it gets to around 4k, Whats the best gearboxb for low down and high up in the revs? I have a 1.1 gearbox but they dont pull higher speeds?

   The VTS is the best for all round performance, ie quick acceleration and reasonable on the motorway. It depends what you want really, as you have found the VTR is a long gearbox, good for motorway driving and fuel economy but epic fail for acceleration in comparisson to the VTS/1.1/1.4 boxes. They are all interchangable as you know already i'm sure. Don't forget to factor in wheel size, bigger wheels means less rpm for a given speed/gear.

   A mate had a vts with a 1.1 box, it accelerated blooming quick, it maxed out at about 95mph, thats not bad tbh as it will be quick round town,
