wheel bolt snapped in rear disks!

ok, i have got 2 bolts snapped inside my rear disks. one each side.

i took the whole section apart and removed the bolts, but the thread is now screwed, and cant get a bolt in.

i have been driving it with 3 in each side. but got my MOT at the start of the month, and i am guessing it will fail on that.

whats the best way to fix this? replace the brake disk hub things?

i havent got a clue what needs doing and dont wanna get my pants pulled down at a garage

    any help is great

If its just one on each side then take it to a local engineering company and see if they can re tap the hubs. If they can put your locking bolt in that one as they shouldn't be done up too tight anyway's. The other 3 will be enough to hold the wheel on and get you through the m.o.t.

If it cant be re tapped then yeah new hubs are needed.

    yer, thats a good idea,

say if i cant get them re-tapped...

is it an expensive job to get the hubs done?

i think new rear hubs are something in the price range from 50-70 new and then your fitting on top of that so about 20-30 a side.
