Important! : Huge dilema!

Hey people, I have recently just bought a 2000 saxo sx (53k miles) which is in working order, mot and tax run out in march but there are a few things which would need replacing.. brakes are terrible, there are many dents in the boot and door which will cost me £500 to repair (put it on a jig-i know a guy) the indicator stalk needs replacing..the good points are i love the colour it has a very loud exhaust on it and its got new lights which make it look smart. Anyway i bought this car for £500 so if i have to repair everything itl be £1200 roughly on the car.. is it worth it or should i just sell it and get a new saxo for the same price? I do like the chav/boy racer look about this car il admit but mayb a new car and then i could do all the mod's to it myself after some time??

    Ideas, sugestions?
    Thanks.

Boy.... That is a HUGE dilemma

Im lucky its costing me that much, i need to replace the tail gate and the drivers door, its cat C. in order to make it look perfect itl be £500. they are big dents like and very very noticable. Im not to sure if its worth just selling and spending a little more on a decent vtr or vts.. unless they dont do 1.1's or 1.2's lol.

    yeahh im thinkin that..

Sell it as is has mot and tax left so itll sell, but sell it reseaonably cheaply. But take all the mods off you like and set it back to standard. Then put them on a new one you buy

im sure you can get that sorted for less than £1200. you can get a pretty decent furio or vtr for less than £1700 i wouldnt go wasting money on a 1.1 saxo tbh

a door and boot should cost less than £200 if in the right colour. why does it need a jig? is your chassis bent? front brakes cost about £30 if you do it yourself. indicator stalk costs like £5

Yeah, well its costring me £130 for both door and tailgate same colour, and then its costing me about £300 to put it on a jig, well it looks like someone has crashed into the back, the boot has like, crushed upwards and the side panel has bulged outwards, so.. apparently itl cost alot for a repair if i go to a garage, but I know a guy who can do it this price which is cheap. I cant return it back to standard because i have no alloys to replace it with. Think im just gonna keep it for a few months but not repair it unless it fails MOT...then just save up about £2000 to buy a decent new one. It will have to be a 1.1 or 1.2 because im a new driver so insurance would be high if i got a vts or vtr due to the fact thay are 1.6..

by saying i wouldnt spend that sort of money on a 1.1, i mean its becuase there quite worthless these days

tbh if you have the room i would buy a cheap vts n do it up till u can afford to insure it!
