Saxo VTR smoking exhaust!

  1. #1
Right I bought my saxo VTR in november last year it is a 1998 s reg.
The problem I am having is that it smokes a fair bit when then engine is not up to temp. The smoke is white and only seems to happen when the engine is warming up however it does sometimes do it when I am idleing. I noticed after I bought the car that there was a letter regarding a scorpian exhaust. It is a standard on it now and the tip is very rusty.
Has anyone got an idea to what this could be?
oil level is ok dropped a bit since I did oil change in dec, water is same dropped a bit but not a huge amount.
Any advice would be great help
    Thanks

likewise, mine gets driven to death. its simply because of the cold weather, doesn't take long for it all to cool down and collect condensation

As above, I'd put good money on it being condensation. It'll sort itself out once the weather warms up.

Worth a quick sniff and emissions test. If you call into ur local garage and ask em nicely they ll only charge u a few quid. Better be safe than sorry. Those tests can tell you a lot. machanics would tell ya if there is anything wrong)))
