Can't get my paint code !

  1. #1
Having trouble finding my paint code. As it's a mk2 the code should be on the door sticker but it had rubbed off...

Rang up Citroen, they told me to ring my local Citroen which is Vauxhall aswell, they said they don't have them even though I gave them the VIN number.

Where else could I ring ??

Nah I don't really think that would be very accurate ! Plus there are several different types of silver saxo paint.

Surely someone has been in the same position, or someone has any ideas for who to contact to get this code ?
Maybe a Citroen dealership somewhere else ?

Another aternative is to go to a car paint supplier tell them your problem, they`ll bring out a swatch(colour cards)in the shades of silver a saxo is painted in.From there you`ll know the code & the colour.I did the same with mine today I had the paint code but last time citroen got a spray can in for me it was way out ,turns out their are different variants of my paint colour I got a can made up in a perfect match.

I just rang citroen again (amazed they were still open) and kicked up a fuss so he entered my VIN and reg on different searches then came back and said he had no code but a colour of 'Quartz Grey' but im not sure again now as on here someone says they have 'Quartz Silver' and on Halfords they have one called 'Quartz on it's own. Or are they the same ?

you would b better takeing something off arch/ wingmirrow mayby and finding a paint supplyer and having the colour matched otherwise you will not get a decent match due to paint fadeing, weathering e.t.c

Pug/Citroen list a few colours as 'grey' which are actually sold as 'silver'. Most people will say they have a silver car, not many will say I have a grey car. Lol

Gris Quartz is what their system will list it as.

EYC or MOYC is the paint code
