#2just a stab in the dark but that sounds a bit like a clutch/friction plate problem.
if your really giving it some and the speed aint really keeping up with the engine speed then your clutch could be on the way out -
#3Sounds like the clutch is going/gone to me.
-
#4Sounds like your Clutch is slipping.
New clutch is around £70-ish. + Fitting etc. -
#5ok, would it have anything to do with the fact that when i filled up the gearbox oil 2nights ago the bottle slipped out my hand and spilt everywhere?? been told that oil may have seeped onto the clutch causing it to slip??

#6The transmission housing is sealed mate so the clutch should be covered up but unless the box isnt seated proper it could leak inside have a look for any gaps it could have seaped in. If oil has got in thier then its new clutch time
If your changing it go for a valeo clutch kit it will last alot longer than those cheap transmech kits

#7ok thanks mate, another thing ive noticed is that when the cars cold and i drive off its fine, after a minute or so of drivin the problem comes back :s
