As if both driveshafts have gone? Diff collapsed?

   Anyone had this problem? It's asif both my driveshafts have gone at once..
   
   My diff bearing has been on the way out for some time now, could it have collapsed?
   
   I managed to get the car home but when you turn the wheels whilest going forwards, even when the clutch is in, the car skips to the side. if you are accelerating the revs go up as if you are dipping the clutch in but the noise is definitely the driveshafts.
   
   I'm getting it at a garage tomorrow just wondered if you had any thoughts?

   Is there no drive at all? The car still won't move even with 1 driveshaft snapped, let alone 2.
   
   If the Shafts are fine, both of them, it probably will be a gearbox fault as you said

   happened to me mate driving along at a slow acceleration and the car jumps abit and wildly steers itself to one side

   When my diff went it would steer violently as all the drive went to one wheel
   Also made a horrible noise. Get it looked at mate!
