ive got a venitian red mk1 saxo flat arch

and im definatly going to colour code the arches and bumpers
for people who done this did you just mask round or take strips off ?
just dont want to break any clips

also thinking of putting a vtr/s front bumper on and keeping the flat arches
how is would that be ? and how much a 2nd hand bumper cost ?

    pics would be appriciated

    thanks

Mine is a desire so came color coded..... Depending on were your doing it then masking it off to color code code be ok, however i doubt you will get a perfect finish. Also the original strips are textured so you need to flatten them.

The pictures show the car in abit of a shit state but the bumper wasnt prepped properlly by myself (was the first time id worked with filler/fiberglass really)

Bumper cost me £10 and came in the state below, wide-mouthed it, smoothed in splitter and fixed the crack then color coded it

I`ve not done this myself but have read a lot of threads on this topic, most people mask off then spray. The vtr/s front bumper can be fitted but needs pulling in around the sides because its designed for the vt kit(cable ties)or cut the bumper brackets down a bit.As for the prices on the vt bumpers i`m not sure, see if anyones selling one on here.

im liking your saxo mate looks spot on

and with the side strips mite do a light sand then loads of filler primer and the plastic primer and a few colour coats so reckon will look ok

and wish i could get a vt bumper for a tenner i be fitting it now

how hard was it to fit the bumper and what the side bits like on the wing were the vtr arches would be does it stick out or is there a way of pinning it back
