Misfire on idle 16v

   I've picked up a misfire from my 16v.
   It only happens on idle and only some of the time, but if I leave the engine on long enough, it will misfire.
   It's not effecting performance.
   I'm only getting 200 miles to a tank of fuel.
   I've redone my earths and changed the plugs, but the problem remains.
   
   Another symptom...
   When I'm driving...usually at 70 with my foot only slightly on the pedal, the car sometimes will lose power. It sounds more like It's being starved of fuel, rather than a misfire, coz the engine doesn't make any noise.
   This only happesns for about a second, then the engines fine again.
   
   Any clues?

   mate i have exactly the same problem in my vts...changed the coil pack and that sorted out the misfiring through the rev range but as for the idling give the idle control valve a clean and see if that helps (y)
   
   i cant garuntee that a coil pack will sort out the misfiring but it worked for me ^.^

   Had the same thing on my 52 reg vts,turned out to be "0" ring seal worn on one of my injectors.....
