    Hi,
Ive now got a set of these wheels.. can i use the original bolts from my vtr wheels? or do i need different ones?

    Thanks.

as long as they are flat i dont see why not, i swear my 205 gtis are held on by vts bolts
  3. #3
the original bolts that come with them are tapered? look roughly the same length as the vtr bolts..

    Anyone else comfirm this?

on my 205 the wheel bolts are flat not tapered, even though they are going on a soxo the correct bolts for the wheels should be flat.
a tapered bolt would bite into the alloy when tightening or even worse, it could rip the threads out of the hub.

The wheels ate tapered as we though?

mine are flat bolts same as most on here i think mate. plus the gti bolts are slightly longer than the citroen flat bolts too

ill get pics up one sec..

if your wheels are tapered too mate id say the previous owner used tapered bolts and reshaped the bolt holes on the alloy. they made 2 types of 1.9 gti wheels both look the same but 1 are speedline and light weight and the other are just standard french rubbish and heavy, usually found on peugeot 406 etc, im 99.9% sure both types take flat bolts though.

These are speedlines. Stamped on all of them.. So I deff need flat bolts? An yeah a pic would be good thanks!

il get a pic up in a min just going to take 1 out
  18. #18
my wheels are speedlines too, slightly tapered like yours

the correct bolt should be flat and have a flat non-removable washer like...

    hope this helps.

local scrappy should have some if your desperate but if you want new... try your local motor factor or as said above citroen itself or ebay.
i think the VTS takes the same bolts you need (incase you go to citroen) but the VTR and lesser models take the same tapered bolts you have.

i have a vtr and they are flat bolts, some vtr wheels have tapered and sum have flat. not sure of the change over date, and not sure about vts rims, but the ebay link above is the right bolts
