    Hmmm tempting

Chris isn't far from me either so could collect aswell?
  3. #3
Worth double checking too whether this price is the same regardless of whether its an ABS type shaft or a non-ABS type shaft as ABS ones tend to cost a little more.

Generally prices between flat or tapered shafts doesnt vary though.
  4. #4
They come built in with the ABS ring, you simply knock the ring off for a non ABS car.

How are going to go about paying for this dude?

Are you taking the money and then paying TRS directly or are we paying TRS individually?

Are you wanting to give payment before 31st of March or after?

Neither of which is a problem but it might help organise others so we don't have people dropping out randomly.

When we have 10 people on the list, we need to make payments directly to trs. They will ship the driveshafts as soon as 10 people have paid. You can pay before the 31st if you like but remember to tell trs that your order is for the groupbuy on saxp/106rallye. Please wait until there are 10 people on the list or until i can get a price for the 7 orders if there is no more interest
  31. #31
    No worries dude. Awesome.

Cool stuff but I may need mine in Mar depending on when my new engine is being fitted into the car, would I be able to approach TRS to see if this will be possible?

    Thx.

He said he'll ship them as soon as all 10 payments are received. If all 10 people pay before the 31st then you would most likely get them in March.

Good bits of kit had them on mine

    Very well made

  39. #39
i retract my well made comment

I have a shaft in my possesion whih was incorrectly machined on the gearbox splines and got wedged in my diff
Chris is coming to have a look himself and is taking it very seriously but im informing others to be aware and check yours before fitting

Ill add pics later and ill add what chris says
  40. #40
It's not going to worry me too much... if it's wedged into your diff there must have been some signs of this when you were fitting dude?

Chaps, I'm paying end of next week, beginning of the week after. Just waiting on some dosh.
  41. #41
I didnt fit i payed someone too but being as its intermediate bearing side adam then no as sometimes the bearing is tight in the housing so a little force is required

Not aiming to worry just informing its pretty obvious now ive looked and tbh and ill pic some pics up
Just worth looking before you attempt to fit

Chris did mention on the phone yesterday that he had a driveshaft failure of a single spline.

He said that he's going to the factory there made and have a meeting about it.

This is the only failure of the shafts that hes heard about, and thats inc that he uses these shafts in a rally car as does colin.
Also Chris has sold these shafts to the worldwide market inc spain, france etc not just the uk.

I personally would not be put off by it, although I know it's a shitter if it did happen. I think it's just a 1 in a million manufacture defect.

Yeah sometimes there bar stewards to get out and need prizing out. Not knocking the person who fitted them at all, but maybe the slines weren't lined up with the diff ones when/if knocked in. Just a thought
