Rewelding door Hinge and creaky handbrake Pics Added

Just a couple of things that have started to irritate me:
    • My passenger Door Hinge
    • My handbrake creaking

Starting with my door hinge, my car door doesnt seem to close flush at the bottom and it has began to get more and more difficult to close the door, it looks like the door is beginning to slant. It looks obvious that the top hinge has been welded at some point and seems to be the most likely cause of this. Was wondering on what kind of costs this would be to repair and how easy it would be to do (I have a friend who isnt to bad with a welder)

Also I've noticed that i am getting this strange creaking sound, i originally thought it was my chairs as i have had them out recently but all the bolts are tight, so i think its the handbrake, it does it if i go over a pot hole or something similar and its getting really annoying. Is it most likely to be the cable or can you actually tighten up the bolts holding the handbrake to the car?

    Any help would be great.

Your mate will be able to sort the hinge out no problem. Take the N/S front wing off, jack the door up so its in place and weld the hinge so it's strong. Paint it with some anti-rust paint then top coat to match your car.

Handbrake bolts can be tightened / WD40'ed within the car if i remember correctly.

Ill try and get some pics up later,

If the top hinge was welded incorrectly could it make the door not sit flush? I Don't want to mess around with it if it isn't going to fix anything.

It looks like the bottom hinge just needs welding mate.

Does it look like its cracked? Give it to your mate for a go if he can weld.. i certainly wouldnt want to be paying £200.

The bottom hinge looks fine, this is whats confusing me as it sticks out really bad at the bottom of the door, i originally thought the wing might be dented but cant see any damage there.

Ill get a picture of the whole door then you will be able to see how its moved.
