wing mirror question

    took the wing miror assembely off my 2001 furio, with the haynes at my side. it says to remove the glass use a screw driver under it and undo the retaining clip...

    problem is i used a torch looked under the glass and no retaining clip of any sort in sight

    anybody any information on this
