-
#3ejector seat maybe
-
#4Lol mm not too sure if its an ejector seat button mate, doesnt seem big/red enough for that.
Any other idea's?
Ill have a go at taking the centre console out tomorrow and see if i can get a better idea what it plugs into. -
#5i have this button also i thought it was something to do with the clifford alarm, never pushed it tho, maybe its for syncing the fob
-
#6seriously mate, ive never seen that type of button in a saxo before
could be something to do with an alarm -
#7Yea mate i have a clifford alarm aswell so it could well be something to do with that, but when i press it nothing differant happens. I did hear once that it could be something to do with setting the immobiliser if you've lost the fob or something to do with that,if you press the buttons in a certain series it starts/stops it but i've no idea if this is true or not. Didnt come from a very reliable source to be honest lol
-
#8it is something to do with a clifford alarm, i had one on my old car (mitsubishi gto ), not sure what it does though, i just left it under the centre console witht he rest of wires lol .
-
#9as you both have clifford alarms, the button could possibly disable interior sensors so you can set the alarm and leave pets or whatever inside
-
#10Can you not trace the wires and see where they go?
-
#11So you can turn off the alarm without the fob with a preset code when it was installed.
It also can be used to put the car into valet mode. -
#12It's 100% from a Clifford btw.
-
#13yeah i would agree on that my car has a button kind of the same is a different shape though and is redQuote:So you can turn off the alarm without the fob with a preset code when it was installed.

does couple other things aswell cant remember what they are though... -
#14^ This. It's the user interface to a Clifford alarm if you don't have a fob. Can be used to program loads of features if you don't have the Clifford software and computer connection cable.

Any idea what its called mate? Could be quite useful if i looked it up and found out what other features it can do.... -
#16it looks like a flower icon... im guessing it grows a flower each time you press it?
-
#17I think it's referred to as the valet button. The fetures available depend on your brain unit, the switch is just your manual interface to it. First step would be to find out what brain unit you have and then find the manual for it.
-
#18nos lol
-
#19My Mates Has One Of These, Im 99% Sure It Is For The Clifford Alarm, The Fob Has Got The Same Flower Shape On It... But He Uses The Fob To Open The Doors, B'cus Hes Has The Doors Connected Somehow So They Pop Open
-
#20yeah clifford alarm mine has it in too but no alarm
lol but there is a hole behind mine and its abit of a detterent
-
#21i thought it was used to turn the sensors off...and sync the fob?? differnt sequences do different things apparently lol...never worked it out with mine when i had it :/
-
#22No idea if this link is any help lol...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DEI-CLIFFORD-A...-/160376148649

#23Just found this lol...straight off clifords site:
Remote Valet
Where's the Valet switch? Locked away in the glove box! Open the vehicle's door and get in and out of Valet by pressing 1-2-1 on your remote. Remote Valet turns security off but leaves convenience on. You can turn off the system for servicing or valet parking directly from the remote control. Convenience by remote control: No more reaching for a switch installed in the vehicle.

#24Yeah mine as these buttons next to the alarm indicator, although whether alarm works is yet to be determined.
This (other) forum thread suggests that it's to put the car into valet mode by pressing the flower/star button, then entering your alarm code starting with the blank button, then the flower/star, and so on, ending by holding the last button press down for 3 seconds. I assume it's a case of pressing the button X number of times. Valet mode is disabled by the next use of the ignition.
I just need the alarm code. Don't you hate it when you're not supplied with all the information.
