Fuel Gauge

    Alright guys!

I know it may sound like a daft question, but is there any chance that the sensor could have been knocked and therefore my gauge is out?

Earlier my fuel light was on and it was half way into the red (mk1 dials) then i went to the garage and put £34 (26.17 litres) and it the pump started to click around the £33mark, theres no way that 26 litres could fill a tank is there?

    Cheers

On your fuel sender unit in the petrol tank theres a resistor which become faulty & will give an incorrent gauge reading.
