yet another problem....

   got in car earlier and it was idling at 1200 rpm, usualy idles between 700-900rpm.after 2 mins it settles down. However when driving it doesn't feel or sound right, instead of making the usual sound it makes as you accelerate it sounds like a really dull whooshing sound (really hard to xplain on here lol) also when im changing gear and come up of the clutch and press accelarator pedal makes a clanking sound, sound like coming from underneath me or in the engine bay.
   
   im changing my ICV next week due it stalling when coming to a stop, are these linked in anyway?
   
   also very sluggish since this problem started.
   
   had full service couple of months ago, new plugs, coilpack etc etc.
   
   
   also, when i use anything electrical all lights dim, dash, steering becomes heavier, and my revs drop. what could this be?
   had my battery and alternator tested, both spot on.

   just looked at it, mine doesnt get better when warm got an icv on the way so going to try that, how do you clean the sensors?

   How much did the ICV cost you dude? Is it new?
   
   Apparently just disconnect them and give them a spray with some terminal cleaner.
   
   (I'm yet to try this btw)

   £30 of ebay, if you buy a new one make sure you get ur part number, heard many times on here people buying wrong icv.
   
   hmmm might give all connections a good clean out tommorrow.

   anyone know what the clanking noise could possibly, cant pinpoint it as it only does it when moving.

   i had the same problem and it is the idle air control, it is apparently a common problem but i took the whole engine out and rebuilt it and tuned it and after changing the idle air control it worked

   its sorted for now, a few nigglin problems left though, but for now the saxos running fine
