Taking the struts off my car coz im lowering it.. anyway Ive got the nuts of the track rod ends but they wont come off? am I missing something or are they just seized? tried tapping them out with a hammer but didnt want to damage the threads thought id ask 1st. thanks in advance

Put a nut back on so that it uses all the threads of the nut but so tye track rod thread isnt extruding out the otherside of the nut. Give the nut thats threaded on the track rod a heavy hit. Once its loose, undo the nut and push the track rod out.

I always hit the side of the strut. the ring around the trackrod end where it meets the strut if you know what i mean and the nut has to be off for that. max

as pepsi says, never hit the threads,it'll bugger them, a sharp whack on the side of the arm that the track rod end tapers into is whats needed

as mandy and pepsi said leather the ring to shock it. if that dosent work use two hammers and hold one against the back of the ring and use the other one to hit the front of the ing if you get what i mean. always works.

Angle grinder used on mine and new rod ends with plenty of copper grease to help next time it comes apart!
