After dials Change the Speedo

  1. #1
After changing the led in accordance with the instructions found here in the forum do not work the needle speed, rpm gauge, fuel gauge and also temperature. I change not only the green led and led as you beneath the needle speed, rpm gauge, fuel gauge and the temperature which was red and I UV. But now when the car power on all the institutions do not work ... Somewhere I had read some years ago that if the movement is a trick to restore them. Does anyone anything ....;;; I searched the Forum as you did not find anything like ...

    Sorry abut my English....

Your suggestion work but only for rpm and speed. The fuel gauge and also temperature it didn't move... did you know how to find the property mark for start to end of needle???

Then i`d check the connections behind the instrument unit they might be loose.

The speedo, rev counter and fuel gauge all failed to work. Fuses were fine. On reading the Haynes manual decided it was a messy job to access panel so as a try disconnected the battery for a short time, which is very easy and all was then cured. This is standard with electronics which can occasionally "lock up" and the cure is known as a Global Reset. Don't forget to note the radio code.

After all this time I start to search again which is the problem that the speed needle didn't work but the clock write the kilometer. I remove again the Speedo and solder again all the pins but with no result with speed needle. I also do the battery unplug but also with no results. I want to ask if I should disconnect both pole from the battery or just the red one???

It`s the earth that you disconnect from the battery -sign.
