Got an east coast no power steering -the crack is - i was thinking for a while my bearing on the passenger side was going - i look in the Haynes book of lies and it says it shouldnt need doing through out its service life ( whats the service life of Sax)
When driving in a
straight line it pulls to the left - which makes me think aligment problem, now ive looked around and i tried 3 places one of which is my local garage for jobs i cant do, a good honest spot - the other was a tyres and exhaust specialist that said they dont do it on sax's cos of where the steering rack etc is situated then i tried a 3rd place that said for £45 i could get the front and rear aligned using laser stuff. so im assuming this will sort my problem out.
ive driven cars that have had shocking aligment and this doesnt feel like that ( i havent put it in yet) so its got no power steering - but its just feels like sh*t ill drive in a straight line and it feels as though when turning right, that my wheel is going to fall off or my wishbone will sheer off, its got crappy tires on but i just dont feel confident withmy steering.
i will get in the garage see what they say,but in the meantime any info is good.
apart from a replacement s.rack lol.
