horrible tapping noise help

Was running fine, got stuck in a puddle deaper than I thought, took a while to get it started it has, now its ticking over and driving fine, but there is like a clicking noise from the head area, the more I rev the louder, any ideas

Normally i`d of said a ticking/tapping noise would be your tappets but as you`ve been through water its possible 1 of your relays has got wet.I hope for your sake you haven`t sucked water into the engine

1 way is to take off your spark plugs 1 by 1 and see if they`ve gone rusty.

and check your oil colour.

my petrol injecters make stupid fast tapin noises its probs coz it has dirt stuck in..when the car is idle its very noticeable! cant see how that can relate to ur problem but thought ill share!

Are you sure your tappets don't need adjusting?

not the slightest clue pal! to be honest am not even sure what tappets are..not been a bother to me coz i never keep under 3k revs anyway so never hear it..very hated around my area for my music and constant wheel spins and stupid drivinggggg..i was told i had dirty petrol injectors :o

just taps dead fast sounds like little stones in a ball gettin shook well

Ha ha

.. don't think your engine will thank you for it..

You might gain one extra BHP if you spend an hour adjusting them.

...and the saxp seniors will quickly get a hard on and bollock you if you mention loud music, wheel spins or stupid driving. Infact your probably gunna be banned and rapped by one of em!

i mean why would i harm my car lmao

my problem is i aint too confident of doin things myself..i wouldnt mind givin it a go but rather have someone who knows whats what near by..but defintly will look into it cheers!

Well on the way home it kinda exploded, the bottom of it, I can now see some belt at bottom of the engine spinning with debris in it making a very loud banging noise, r.I.p car

New engine time, I've made a hole in bottom of engine near the alternator, can see inside hahah
