Hand Brake problem

   Hi hand brake did a strange thing the other day , it used to be about 4 clicks till it was on fully ,then driving along and stoped pulled the hand brake on and it went about 8 clicks to go on fully . I also noticed the footbrake peddle seams to be softer travel more to stop the car any one got any idea rear brakes are drums

   mine was the same last week was the handbrake cable that had snapped well 1 of the 2.

   check the adjust in the drum have not moved also take the drum off and check that none piston in the drum ent fucked
