Car cutting out on idle

   Sometimes when my car is sitting on idle it drops below 1000 rmp the comes back up drops again etc any ideas what this could be

   it should idle between 700-900rpm anyway. is it cutting out aswel?

   Yeah, mines done it a couple of times were it just cuts out

   Yer it fluctuates between 1000 then drops and rises straight the was and sometimes cuts out

   have a look at your idle sensor

   Idle sensor or low battery or poor charging (alternator)

   without starting the car, turn the igtion on wait for clocks to sort themselves out then turn off, do this about 5-6 times, it should reset the icv and you should be good to go

   Don't tell me i bought a new icv and i just had to turn it on and off a few times

    trust me, i was cutting out at lights, stalling, revving right up and burning way too much fuel, after i reset it, its been fine

    first time i have heard of the ignition trick for an ICV, cleaning it always works best for me

    yer i cleaned mine and it seems alot better
