front passenger wheel...

  1. #1
Posted a thread a few weeks ago and bumped it upteen times to no avail,

My front passenger wheel is squeeking... but sometimes its constant and then other times it just squeeks a little bit, then other times you cant hear it at all...

I have also noticed that when it is squeeking that if i push the brake pedal the squeeking stops...

I haven't had time to look at it, but if i take the wheel off tomorrow is there anything I should be lookin for?

Any idea whats the problem may be?

Help will be very appreciated, thanks guys!

Jack up the car put it on an axle stand put 1 hand each side of the wheel & check for play you may have a wheel bearing issue.

Just a thought you say its coming from the passenger side are you sure it isn`t the alternator drivebelt?

I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for that mate, i just assumed that the noise was coming from the wheel...?

Actually i should have probably mentioned, the noise tends to run with the speed of the wheel:

I.e. the faster i drive the faster the sqeaking is... so i take it that rules out the belt?
