wheel bearing check

   high guys decided to check the passenger wheel bearing so i jacked the car up got my sis to hold the steering wheel against the steering lock so no movement in that area... when i do the 9-3 routine and i twist the wheel in a jerking motion the wheel sort of moves but no noise when i do this
   
   
   
   
   so when im actuali doing the check what exactli am i looking out for. cud be bushns and all that jazz allowing very slight play but how do i know for sure its the wheel bearing
   
   
   also i have a rattly shaft at that side and in a straight line the car ever so slightly pulls to the left.
   
   any info is appreciated

   Bearing going makes a whirring sort of noise that gets louder the faster you accelerate.. Ive had 2 bearings go at the front but whats making you check if the bearing is gone ?

   well over the noise of the car i can hear quite clearly when i slow down to a stop all i can hear is a whirring noise from bout 20 down to 0. the front left wheel used to squeek quite loudly but hasnt done it in ages. also my driveshaft at that side rattles like fuck in case its putting more strain on it.
   
   
   the whinning noise only happens when i slow down as ye cant hear nofin wen i accelerate. it is noticable as my mate imitates the whirring noise everytime i slow to a stop lol
