mk2 spoiler delivered, needs to be fitted, what to do next

  1. #1
    hi all,

just purchased a MK2 spoiler to replace the chavvy outrageous big spoiler i have on my car at the moment. The spoiler i have at moment is a universal one so it doesnt fit exactly how it should (when you wash car you get a tiny water run down the inside of the boot lid window)

spoiler arrived today with the screws attached and has the soft foam material around the hole, is it a simple case of unscrewing the fitting, then placing spoiler on car and screw from inside of the glass until it sits flush?

    Cheers

Mk2 spoilers bolt To the rear window via 2 bolts with plastic washers, can get these off eBay or citroen. So if you have the holes then it's pretty self explanatory.

However if you don't most people just tiger seal them and tape them up while the tiger seal sets. You shouldn't have any problems author falling off, tiger seal is good stuff

and the holes are there already on spoiler

Tiger seal is a very strong adhesive sealent. The tape is just to secure the spoiler into place while the tiger seal goes off.

Yep, Replaced my MK1 spoiler with a MK2, Just need to use a bodykit glue / sealant like Tiger Seal, And tape it into position so that it doesn't move while it sets :-)

do i need to tiger seal if the holes are already on new spoiler? where do you buy this tiger seal from?

If you have the holes in the window and the suitable mounting points on your spoiler then you can fit it as it should be. If not then tiger seal it on.

It can be bought from most body work or paint shop suppliers.

IF you have holes in your glass already, Yes simply screw it on, And bosh done, If you don't have holes, then it will need glueing on with Tiger Seal :-)
