   Apologies if this thread has already been up recently but i'm thinking of doing a service on my 98 R.
   But what does a full service consist of?
   What do i need etc .. Also is it straight forward?

   Basically everything apart from the cambelt and waterpump.
   
   Spark plugs
   engine oil
   oil filter
   fuel filter
   air filter
   oil breather filter if you have one
   Coolent
   brake fluid, pads and discs if required

   Search on eBay for a Saxo Service Kit.
   
   Wiki will be able to do it for you, easy!

   Not only these things but things like lubricating the door hinges as well,and checking the gearbox oil.

   +1 for service kits, good value but you may be fussy and want a genuine citroen oil filter?
   
   I used a service kit previously and was happy with it TBF though.

   bollox to ebay can get parts cheaper from Andrew page's. everything to service my car including gtx oil and gear box oil was only 60 quid.

   +1 also beware of fake parts on ebay i`d rather get the genuine article.
