LEDs Help??

   Ive bought some leds from ebay and they have two wires oon them, now i want to fit them to my first set of lights (sidelights)!
   i have tried to fit them to the CD player and that wont work because i cant find the possitive and negative wire on it, and ive tried to install them to the interior buld but that wont work because they are permanently on, so i was wondering how do i fit them to my sidelights??
   its a mk1 east coast on a v plate, 99 reg! please help!!

   by leds what do you meen the strips or single fashing leds i.e for a fake alarm
   
   also why would you want to wire up to your side lights
   
   and why not just wire the positive to the stereo and the negative to your battery negative ?
