Helicoil or bigger bolt for tensioner?

   VTS
   tensioner pulley
   
   bolt snapped in bottom end
   and threads tapped to big for standard bolt to be inserted(not me)
   
   So question is
   do i drill N tap into bottom end alot bigger for a bigger bolt so the tensioner can sit nicely on?
   
   Or helicoil it?
   
   ill be using a m10 outer and m8 x1.5 inner?
   
   advice please???

   have you removed the broken bolt yet? if not, i'd say try and extract it (bolt extractors from ebay, or take to a local garage to do it) and dont bother with retapping/helicoil unless absolutely necessary
