dodgy electrics?

   yet another small problem.....
   
   when ever i use anything electrical my dash, lights etc will dim.
   
   so driving at night, decide to put windows down, all my lights dim and revs drop slightly. also my steering is quite heavy and when i turn lights dim slightly.
   
   its a new steering pump btw. before anyone asks.
   
   presuming its all linked.
   
   had my alternator and battery tested, both spot on.

   This is normal, the electric window motors take a big current and will sap power.
   
   If it bothers you change your alternator for one with more output.

   what about the steering? when turning it seems to make everything dim. is that the same?

   Yeah that's an even bigger drain on the alternator. If it's really noticeable or the alternator warning light comes on (even dim) then you should start looking around for a new one.
