creaking noise when steering

   hello people
   
   ive got like a creaking noise when im turning the steering wheel, it seems to only be when moving slow, any idea what it could be?

   Driveshaft worn on the cv joint.

   Sounds like your driveshafts are on there way out mate.

   hmm, it sounds like its coming from behind the dash though =/

   Gotta love some of the answers on here!
   It is likely that the steering column will exit through the bulkhead in a rubber seal (behind the brake pedal sort of area) or it may be catching some unclipped cables behind the dash. Take off steering wheel cowel and have a poke about and check the rubber seal as mentioned (putting a drop of oil on it may help).
