The cheapest way of getting a significant BHP increase would probably be a engine swap, you could pick up a VTS engine with everything you need for about £400 - £500 and that would give you an instant 45bhp over your standard 1.4 westie engine (As long as the VTS engine is in good condition and actually makes 120bhp)
Short of that, probably an enclosed induction kit and a good exhaust system. But you could easily spend £400 on them and get less than 5bhp, engine swap is the way to go. Also as sayer said above, strip the car out, it's FREE.
