Urgent help needed, drivers door lock is ballsed :(

    My drivers door no longer locks itself, the lock latch seems to have stuck in the locked position and I can't close my door anymore as the latch is stuck. I've tried manually locking and remote locking, fiddling with the latch but it's stuck for good.

    Anyone know if there's a fix to this that I can do myself? I need to use my car everyday, but at the mo it's not secure, I can't close my drivers door

    Your going to have remove the doorcard & the soundproofing sheet get a torch/mirror.Then check to see if any control rods have come off the mechanism.The other thing that may be faulty is the locking motor for that door.

    If manually attempting to lock and unlock the car with the key dosent work, then its more than likley a small peice of metal on the casing of the mechinism that is preventing it from operating correctly.

    Remove the lock from the door and try to operate it, you will soon see the peice of metal in the way. Bend it back and it will work fine. Same problem on many saxo's.

    Ty guys, I'll get up early tmoro to take off the door card and find out what's going on in there. Wish me luck, I really can't afford to have my car off the road atm!

    this happened to mine 2week ago. took the whole lock out and gave it a good clean and soak in WD-40 coz it was full of shit and grit, everything seemed to move fine and smooth so dropped it back in the door.

    maybe yours just needs some elbow grease too?!
