boot noise

    when driving there is a rattle from the boot has been doing this for a year and deciding to take action as i have a big to do list. its coming from that plastic cover for the boot release + wiper arm motor. took it all off before and replaced the clips. when a passenger in the back put their hand on it or even their finger the rattling stops completely.

    im almost sure that its just hitn against the boot lid, so whats the best solution/ thing i can use to cushion it.

    I have exactly the same lol, went to a shop today to buy some little sticky sponges, haven't put them on just yet but hopefully they sort it, reallllly pisses me off!

    yeah its just a constant rattle. cud even describe the noise it doenst make the same noise but several things batein off each other

    you can get this rubber seal yoke. the one 1 have has a flat sticky edge and has a hollow square through out its length. so if you cut through it

    \_/ that can be seen but the side are a bit straighter and the top is curved.


    this might be too big for such as small gap so mite cut it down so that i have bout 2-3mm left on the sides and hopefully it shud stop.


    id be rippen if it was the mechanism or wiper motor doing it lol

    thinkim just gonna wedge it all up with foam to start with, then when i find the exact place its doing it, go from there. the noise has been there since i bought the car about 7 months ago, not even looked at it yet, its only just getting on my nerves lol.

    mmmm... thats the thing i did remove it earlier and went into town for few hours... the rattle hasnt gone.


    took the parcel shelf out aswell. got my mate to get in the back and see wat was rattling when i was driving... turns out its the fukin boot latch... i had though it was the culpret a while back so i moved the bottom latch down a bit so there was less room for movement but that never helped so i thought it was the cover



    so i put the jynx on it wen i mention earlier that i wud be ragging if it was the mechanism... Facepalm
