Sooty deposit in 1 spark plug chamber

    Changed the spark plugs today, everything went fine apart from finding a black sooty deposit in one of the chambers. The 2nd one in from the left.

    You can see it in this pic, the actual tips of all of them are a browny colour, which according to the haynes manual is a good thing. So its only the top bi of just that one, which i can only assume because the plug wasn't in tight enough? Or would there be other reasons?

    The sooty deposit will just be carbon like you see on the tailpipe of cars,I shouldn`t worry too much.

    +1 will be fine prob's wasn't tight enough to compress the squash washer onto the mating surface its when there wet with oil you start to worry.
