1.4 gearbox on 16v

    just wondering if a gearbox from 1.4 will go on a 16v engine, what would be the advantages and disadvantages.

    pretty much all TU engines will take all TU gearboxes, so yes itll fit

    is it the 1.4xsi box or the 1.4 furio etc?


    i have a 1.4xsi box on my 16v S1 and it is awesome, but my car is a track car (yet i do drive it daily)

    what do you use your car for?


    the normal advantage/disadvantage would be lower gear ratios but all depends on what you use it for

    Hi

    i have done this with a furio box

    its is the same'ish speed to a vts box in 1st and 2nd but in 3rd 4th and 5th it is the same as a vtr box,

    so quick acceleration in 1st and 2nd but nice cruising in 3rd 4th and 5th and also a top speed of 164mph if you have enough power to get it that thou.
