gear linkage help?

   Rite people iv got a y reg saxo 1.1 petrol, cant get the gear linkage off and the full gear box has now shifted after trying to get them off i duno if im in the rite bit or not but i need help asap.

   Keep the gearbox connected to the block before taking the linkages off, i personally get a bar down on them from the top and use a hammer to prise them off, fairly easy to bend/brake them though.
   
   Or go under the car and seperate them from the gear selector

   tried that hence why the box has moved anymore advice??

   i just use a flat screwdriver against a per of pliers for leaverage,never had a problem.
