#2Are you sure its coming from the pasenger area?because i`m thinking the only things rotating is the engine and the noise is coming from the drivebelt.
Steve. -
#3on idle turn on your lights and heated rear screen, if its gets louder, could be your alternator bearing
-
#4something that might help the diagnosis when i put the clutch down the squeaking goes away.
thanks bert -
#5any ideas anyone ?

#6Clutch release bearing...
-
#7Before you do anything, look at your Alternator Belt.
Can't believe no one has said that lol. -
#8Think Steve was on those lines with "drivebelt" ... If it goes with the clutch pressed in though it will be the release bearing without question. Probably got 100 miles left once it squeaks
... metal on metal
-
#9And what would happen after that 100miles if I leave it ?
-
#10The clutch will press down and not release. It may not be as bad as I am making out. Does it smell like burning under the bonnet? Is it a loud squeak or only just noticeable? All depends on the make of the clutch kit that is in at the moment and how it gets treated. Probably best get it looked at though rather than leave it to break while you least want it to.

#11When my bareing went I drove about without a clutch haha I left it in 3rd and that was it... But, don't do that you'll fuck it up more... Anyway if it's that bad it won't go when the clutch is pushed in...

I say Alternator belt... -
#12yeah deffo thrust bearing when clutch dipped in. happened on my clio. might as well get the whole clutch changed. as you might aswell change so when you fit bearing you clutch doesnt go and have to change clutch plate
