Noise from A/C

   Hi
   2001 1400cc/75
   There is a constant grinding noise from the a/c unit even when off (I understand this is a common problem).
   Tried to pull out all the fuses 1 by 1 and it didn't stop.
   Since I am not using the heating a/c very often, I thought to add a master switch to cut the power from it, but the access is very limited b/c of the passenger side airbag.
   The a/c unit there is labeled "Valeo GMV D8P RF MG"
   Any suggestions?

   Just to have it for who needs it - I cut one of the wires coming from the circulation switch and the noise stopped.
   For the moment all the ventilation and a/c system is working well, still I installed a switch just in case.

   Sorry but none of us will be of much help on here.
   
   As a/c was not an option in the UK due to not being able to be fitted to right hand drive saxo's
