Important! : mk1 front strut on mk2

    want to buy some struts with springs for my mk2 2000 plate furio and know someone doing a good deal but the struts are off a 98 plate mk1 vtv, does anyone know if they will fit? my car has no abs and the driveshaft is un-tapered. cheers.

    Mk1 and Mk2 are same size and shape except the Mk1 uses flat face driveshafts and Mk2 (except a few early models) uses tapered so if your shafts match then your okay to go ahead and get them.

    mines a W reg, anyone know if thats tapered or un-tapered? im having the same problem.
