wheel wobble

   hi fellow saxppl getting a wheel wobble at low speeds sometimes really bad just started happning any ideas what it is.how do u balance vts wheels can u get a attachment on a balancing machine.thanks guys

   Some tyre fitting places will have the adapter to balance alloys with no center hole. Phone around. It is likley to be the wheel balancing, although it could be other things too.

   wheels wobble is normally at high speeds, i dont bother balancing wheels on my track car as i change tyres so much and the only time i notice any wheel wobble is 60 mph plus.

   The speed at which you get wheel wobble depends on how much the tyre is out of balance, sometimes it might be spot on, sometimes maybe 5 or 10gram out. Could get wobble at 40mph or even less.

   I'd suggest just to jack it up and have a spin of the wheels, check the wheels in all directions for play... really give them some stick, you want to check for play in balljoints, bushes and wheel bearings.
