Solar powered battery chargers...

   Not really sure where is the best place to ask this, so thought I'd give it a try here
   
   My car spends a lot of its time sat still, as I dont currently have time to get it back on the road! This means that usually when I come to start it up, the battery is flat.
   
   I remembers years ago you could get solar powered trickle chargers to keep the battery topped up.
   
   Do any of you guys use these? Do they work? Any recommendations??

   Yeh they work, you want the biggest one possible really. More wattage is best, some of the smaller ones are not worth bothering with.
   
   Maplin have them in, rip off prices most of the time but every now and again they have them with 60% off which is more reasonable!
   
   Dont be put off by the ones for boats/caravans etc, all the same thing 12v..

   I would recommend you get a CTEK battery conditioner tbh mate.....i keep it connected all the time and it turns on automatically if the battery gets low.
