cooling issue.

   I replaced the thermostat and coolant over the weekend, now while im driving the temp gauge is constantly rising and falling around the 50% mark, have bled the system twice but still the same, anyone have any ideas as too why its like this ?

   have you bled the system with an upside down, cut, coke bottle or something jammed into the top of the rad? If not then air is likely still in the system. You MUST have a column of water higher than the ihighest point of the cooling system in order to bleed it correctly.

   Yeah I used a plastic bottle and made air tight with ptfe tape.

   i thought temp was supposed to be around halfway mark anyway? or do i also have a problem with my car?

   Think it is suppose too be around halfway, just my needle is constantly moving above and below halfway

   how constantly?
   
   like up down up down, or sitting at one or the other for an extended period?

   Like going up then straight back down, then up again etc, not sitting in one place for more than a cpl of seconds.
