Ecu advise

  1. #1
im trying to put a 1600 blacktop vtr engine into my 1400 sx both have single plug ecu. my saxo has the keypad immobiliser on it. i know a guy who can put the starting code off my 1400 ecu onto the vtr one. can anyone tell me if this will work? assuming i can then use the vtr inlet, engine loom and injectors?

This is frying my brain so im hoping someone can shed light on this!

    Many Thanks

U can disable the key pad totally buy put the the code in the box and starting ya car up then disconnect then u won't need it again

ive all ready taken the 1400 engine out and fitted the vtr engine. i dont have a huge problem with using the keypad with the new ecu if it will work. but if i disable the keypad will i still need to get the vtr ecu unlocked?

Yes you will need the VTR ecu unlocked as its in a difrent car now

Wheres the best place to get it unlocked? and will it work if my starting code goes onto the vtr ecu by changing the immobiliser chip over? many thanks to all for your replies.

Some guy on here can do it not sure who, try a search mate. To do the starting code you would need the key, barrel chip and transponder from the old vtr for it to work. This is why we unlock them so u can use any key if u get what i mean.

Unlocking it means the imobilser is unlocked so it will start

Thats why we get the ECU unlocked so the imobiliser is told to fuck off haha and it will start providing evrything is connected and working right
