nockin noise when changing to 1st/2nd gear

   hi i have just had a new clutch fitted i started the car dipped the clutch went to put it in 1st gear and i made like a banging noise it only does it in 1st and 2nd does any one no what this could be as i feel like the problems are just never ending with this car

   Does it bang when you push the gear stick to the left from neutral? if so, gearbox mount on the wrong way round

   the mounting only bolts on 1 way but it is only when u move the gear stick to the left from neutral though i will get my bf to have a look at it cheers

   my gearbox clutch was recently replaced and bangs when you change gear. my conclusion - gearbox is just knackered !
